Kate received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, PA. She has experience working with children, adolescents, parents and families in providing individual, family and parenting therapy in community based services and school settings. Kate has extensive experience in working with families in crisis and safety planning. Kate has completed training for TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). She enjoys working with kids and families that have been impacted by traumatic experiences, relational conflicts, school problems and anxiety/depression symptoms.
Kate’s work is informed by a strength perspective and relational therapy approach which means she helps to support clients understand the impact relationships play on their daily lives. Kate believes in engaging in anti-oppressive, client centered care and is passionate about providing quality therapy care to all.
In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time outdoors with her family going hiking and camping and checking out new State Parks. She also enjoys making new vegetarian recipes. She dreams of living in a tiny house in the middle of the woods.
